Coin Toss

No, it's not the way a Referee decides what the call is going to be or who brings the drinks!

At the beginning of the game, there is a ceremony to determine who gets the ball first and which side of the field each team will start off on. 

The Coin Toss is held inside the Center Circle at the Center Mark. The players chosen to participate face each other on opposite halfs of 
the field, facing the opposing goal. The Referee is positioned beside the players, facing one of the Touch Lines as are the Lineman. The 
players introduce themselves to each other with a sportsperson like handshake. The Referee displays a coin and I repeat, A COIN, showing 
the players Heads and Tails. The Referee tosses the coin in the air and the VISITING Team calls Heads or Tails, while the coin is in the air. 
Winner chooses which goal they will defend in the first half and loser gets the ball first. To start the game in the second half, there is 
no Coin Toss. Players simply switch sides and the team that didn't take the first Kick Off, takes the kickoff in the second half.

At the end of a match, where the winner of the match will be determined by a "shootout", the Referee will choose which goal will be used and 
the Referee will implement a Coin Toss. The team that wins that toss , will have the choice to shoot first or second.
