Yes, you can score a goal directly from a kick off. In the old days, you could not, but in the late 90's, the rule was changed. 
Some youth leagues have chosen to modify the rule and not allow goals directly from the kick off due to smaller fields. If your 
league doesn't specify otherwise, you can score a goal directly from a kick off ... if your good or really lucky enough, of course.
